The Florida Chapter of the American Fisheries Society, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection- Lake Jackson Aquatic Preserve is hosting the 1st Annual Florida Chapter AFS, FWC and DEP Lake Jackson Cleanup on March 9, 2019. This will be an on-the-water cleanup focused on removing litter from Lake Jackson, so participants will need to use some type of watercraft- kayak, canoe, paddleboard, etc. If you do not have your own watercraft, kayaks will be provided to the first 16 people to register. We will be providing gloves, grabbers and reusable trash bags, but make sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen. The cleanup will take place at Miller Landing from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
This Eventbrite is for participants that have their own watercraft. If you need to reserve a kayak, click this link:
